Research

Despite its small size, the group is active in all aspects in very-high energy gamma-ray astronomy, an emerging new field of science.

This includes development of novel instruments, operation and data taking with current instruments and data analysis and interpretation of latest results and putting them in context with measurements at other wavelengths.

Education

While PhD students get deep insight on all aspects, from detector design to data interpretations, the education we are responsible for Batchelor and Master Students covers two main topics:

a) Two-semester course on AstroParticle-Physics, concentrating mainly on Cosmic Ray Physics, Neutrino Astronomy, High-Energy Astronomy and Dark Matter

b) Physics Laboratory Courses for non-physicsics
